2. What are the side effects?
– The most common side effect is nausea. Other GI complaints are also not uncommon. Starting at a low dose and gradually increasing can help prevent these side effects. Eating low-sugar and low-fat meals can also decrease their occurrence. There are additional less common side effects that can be discussed with your physician.
3. How does this work?
– You will see a physician who will determine the best medication and dosage for you to start with. Typically, these are medications given in a once-weekly shot.
4. Do I have to come to the office for my shots?
– You have the option to administer your shots at home or come to the office every week, whichever you are most comfortable with.
5. Can I do my visits over the phone?
– Yes, we offer telephone visits, you will just need to request it after you schedule your appointment.
6. Can I use my HSA?
– Yes, you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for our services and medications.
7. Why don’t you take insurance?
– Due to our volume of customers, the hassle of dealing with insurance red tape, and the relative cost-effectiveness of our visits compared to the cost of medications, we made the decision not to accept insurance. However, we may explore this option further in the future.
8. Do these medicines really work?

10. How much weight will I lose?
– Different studies yield different results, but a reasonable expectation is around 20% of your body weight.
11. Can I use my regular pharmacy?
– Yes, you can use your regular pharmacy. However, to provide more affordable options, we also contract with pharmacies that compound small personalized batches of medications at a lower cost.
